The center of Prague can be approached easily from more remoted hotels with the help of public transportation. We suggest you to use the metro as it is the fastest way of transport, and you can reach every part of the town with it. Metro network is safe, reliable and clean. There are three lines (A-green, B-yellow, C-red) and around fourty stations. Muzeum, Florenc and Mustek Station are all in the city center, and these are the stations where the lines meet. Every hotel room has a bathroom either with shower or bath tub and WC. The majority of the four star hotels have suites, which are larger than the standard rooms and they are devided into different parts (living room, bedroom etc.). Among the hotels in Prague there are special apartment hotels with spacious rooms, sometimes with kitchen too.
We would like to call your attention, that in case you pay at the hotel with a credit card, it can happen that not exactly the rate confirmed by us will be charged to your credit card by your credit card company.
The reasons for this are:
All hotels in the Czech Republic invoice in CZK.
Hotels use either a medium or a buying exchange rate (the difference between the medium and the buying rate is 1-3%).
Credit card companies use a buying exchange rate when converting foreign currencies (the difference between the medium and the buying rate is 2-5%).
Some credit card companies first convert CZK sums to USD and then the USD sum to EUR.
E.g.: If the hotel uses a medium exchange rate, while the credit card company applies two conversions, then the charges may be up to 10% higher than the invoiced sum.
Obviously, hotels have no information about the conversion rates of each bank, and it is also impossible to use a different exchange rate with each of the guests.
To avoid such inconveniences we suggest you to pay in cash.
